A Tale of Love & Sacrifice
Kiyoshi Higa had grown to disbelieve the notions of love and happily-ever-afters. He never saw these working out in the end, not for him at least. But when his quest for poetry drove him from the idyllic Okinawa to the City of Joy, he discovered the home he never had in Agnimitra Sen a.k.a. Agni.
Agni was a steady flame and Kiyoshi embodied a turbulent ocean. She was the woman he could never end up with, and he was the man scarred by love. Yet, as destiny brings them together, sparks will fly, tears will turn to poems, and hope will wage a war against reality.
Perfect for the fans of Nicholas Sparks and John Green, Then There Was Rain is at once a metaphorical ode to life, a journey of survival through hope, and a novella with the heartful expanse of an epic.
Welcome to the Story-Verse
an universe of poetry, fiction, marketing tips, but above all, HOPE.
This is not supposed to be a typical website. I was never supposed to be a poet, an author, or even a marketer.
But this universe was born from nothing, and life was born from stardust. Everything that was never supposed to be exists all around us. And I write poetry: motivational, tragic, heroic, and of broken hearts. I sell them on a website that might reek of capitalism. I sell my labour, physical or intellectual, in the real world so that someone else can sell me food, clothes, shoes, a roof over my head, and tickets to the mountains (of course).
Amidst the dilemma of what’s supposed to be and what’s not, this little space is always supposed to bring you HOPE. My blood is always supposed to turn into INK. My soul is always supposed to dissipate into YOURS.
